Fossilized cocoa leaf lampshades. Light made from chocolate? Not quite, but the cocoa leaves used for these lamps are collected from the same plant chocolate is made from. Fossilization is the process of drying leaves over a three to four month period and then hand rubbing the chlorophyll off the leaf so only the leaf's skeleton remains. This is a labor-intensive process and no corrosive chemicals are used. Once the chlorophyll is removed, the leaf is stained in organic dyes. Since the leaves are natural, each one will absorb dye differently. The resulting effect is a lamp with different hues and shades (sometimes within the same leaf). There are a few cases in which the leaf may have a small tear before it was adhered to the lampshade; due to the low-impact sealant we use, no tear will increase in size nor will any leaf pull from the shade. We would like to point out that only 20 percent of the leaves make it through the entire process for use for our shades. Once the leaf is stained, it is adhered to a heat resistant backing; similar to the backing found on any standard lamp. The artists cut each leaf to ensure that no leaf will overlap. Finally, we use a strong sealant to ensure the stability and integrity of the shade. The frame is constructed from wrought iron, which makes the lamp very strong and durable. Then the lamp is powder coated in order to ensure the longevity of its color.
Bulbs Required: 1. Access: Reach through the top to access the bulb. Eangee recommends light bulbs based on heat, not by light output. We recommend using either compact florescent light (CFL) bulbs or LED bulbs. These will provide the same amount of light but use less wattage and produce less heat as compared to a standard incandescent bulb. The lower heat will help ensure the longevity of the lamp. If you use an incandescent bulb, we suggest a maximum of 40 watts.
If cleaning is required for Eangee lamps, we recommend using a dry cloth or duster. We do not suggest liquid cleaners. We do not recommend placing your lamp in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.

Shipping Information
GROUND - UPS - FEDEX
Standard shipping method is ground shipping with FedEx or UPS. Delivery signature is not required for ground shipments. The carrier will leave the package in the normal delivery place for your address. You may go to FedEx or UPS website to track your shipment. Occasionally, your package may not be delivered due to weather conditions or a concern for the package safety. This decision is made by the carrier. Very small items may ship USPS.
If you are purchasing multiple items from different manufacturers, your order will ship from different warehouses and may ship on different dates. We will email you all the tracking associated with your shipment once the item ships from the warehouse. If your order contains multiple ground shipments, then they may ship with a Freight carrier based on the number of items and weight.
LTL - FREIGHT - CURBSIDE / THRESHOLD - Scheduled Appointment
Standard shipping method for large / heavy items is with a freight carrier. Delivery signature IS required for freight shipments and you will need to be present during your delivery time window. For residential deliveries, the freight carrier will contact you to schedule delivery date. You may go to the freight carrier’s website to track your shipment.
If you are purchasing multiple items from different manufacturers, your order will ship from different warehouses and may ship on different days. We will email you all the tracking associated with your shipment.
Freight shipments are curbside delivery.
WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY - Scheduled Appointment
In the event that White Glove Delivery is offered free or for an additonal fee for an item and you wish to have this service it will include the following:
Platinum service level provides two-person delivery, to inside your residence to the room you choose. This service includes carrying the product up two flights of stairs from the building threshold (4-15 steps = 1 flight). If you need the product moved up additional flights please contact us*. Once the product is in the room you desire, the shipper will unpack the product and provide light setup that requires basic tools (i.e. pieces will be screwed or bolted together, set pieces next to each other, or on top of each other).
The shipper will not hookup any electrical or component wires. Having items carried up more than 25 steps and longer assembly periods are available as additional services which would require additional charges. Please contact us if you feel you need these services
In all above cases, if you notice any damage to the box/item you MUST note this on the delivery receipt.
